Error 80003

It has been months now that I have been attempting to get into BB apps but every time I get that I'd request. Once I run it it ends up in an error 80003. I am tired of strugling with this 8520 curve. How many emails must I still send before vodacom or RIM get back to me. How do I fix this

Sorry, RIM doesn't do email technical support... at all. So, I don't know where you sent them an email... but you won't get support in that way. I don't know about Vodacom.

 

For your error, it's been posted here in the forum dozens of times... you are not alone with this error.

 

If you're getting the 80003 error, there are three user-suggested fixes:

1. Follow these directions:
First delete AppWorld on your OS 5 Blackberry, (Options > Advanced > Applications) or on OS 6/7 devices (Options > Device > Applications)
Then copy the whole address below and paste it in your BlackBerry browser, or click on it from this forum page FROM your BlackBerry.

2. Make sure you are connecting to AppWorld while on a WiFi connection. This has worked for some.

3. On Os5 BlackBerrys, go to Options, Advanced Options, TCP/IP. Select APN which is the first box. Under it
next to APN type Internet. Save it and it will work.
On OS6 & 7 BlackBerrys, go to Options > Device, at the bottom Advanced System Settings. Go to TCP IP. Select the first box and next to APN type "Internet". Your BlackBerry ID will download. It will ask to restart your device, do so and if you then go it to your App World > MyWorld, it will prompt you to a blue screen where you need to log in.
