Error: No circuit/channel available

I have a Blackberry Bold 9780 smartphone. It is about 7 months old and I have had no problems with it up until now. It was sending messages and calling fine yesterday and now it can still send messages but does not receive them properly.

When calling people it sometimes just disconnects and sometimes comes up with the error 'No circuit/channel available' and it is getting really annoying. I have checked my bill with O2 and it has been paid so there are no problems with credit. I have tried rebooting and turning the handset on and off. 

Any help would be great!
