Error in setting up bbid

Hi,

I just got hold of my bb bold 9780 yesterday and I can not create a bbid from my handheld.

I go into the bb appstore, go to my world, create a bbid, I accept both agreements, fill in username, pass and security questions in the next screen but when I click on signup I get an error message which says bb appstore can not connect to the bb appstore server and that I should check my network connections. My network connectios were fine and I have tried this both with 3G (Vodafone UK) and wi-fi.

 

Also, i try to set up one online at  https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/registration/registration_eula.seam

but i get a message that the site is not found as it may have moved or discontinued.

I'm having the same problem... am hoping it's just a temporary issue on their end!

Right I just did a wipe in advanced settings and it worked, you might as well try it.
