I have an 8310 with v 220.127.116.11 firmware. I am using the latest desktop v. 18.104.22.168(may 22 2008). I have been synching with my Outlook calendar and contacts on my Vista notebook without any problems until today. When I try to connect I get a message "Failed to connect to the device. Please make sure that the device is properly connected and try again". I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop software, replacing the USB cable, using a different USB port, rebooting my computer, and using the Bluetooth instead of the USB cable but had not had much luck. The AT&T tech-support also was not helpful at all. They basically took me through the same steps as I already had. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
