Excessive charging of data

I've got a curve 8250 and part of my Vodafone montly deal is 100mb of data. I don't have my emails set up, or use the internet or BBM and still Vodafone is saying I'm using more than my 100mb monthly use. 


Is there any way of completely disabling the phone so it cannot use data? Or any other reason Vodafone is excessively charging me for something I'm not using?

Welcome to the forums. 


We are not sure what would be using your data but you can turn your data services off using the steps below.


1. On the Home screen, click the Manage Connections icon.


2. Click Mobile Network Options.


3. Perform one of the following actions:

  • To turn on or turn off data service, change the Data Services field.
  • To turn on or turn off data service when roaming, change the While Roaming field.
  • To receive a prompt when roaming that allows you to turn on or turn off data service, change the While Roaming   field to Prompt.

4. Press the Menu key.


5. Click Save.
