F-S1 Battery

I just bought a new battery and I want to make sure how to handle it properly from day one.

The guy in the shop told me to use it until its empty and then charge it for only 6 hours but on another page I read 16 hours, so I'm a bit confused now.

How long should I charge the battery the first time after its drained and any other tips to keep the battery at its best?

Re: F-S1 Battery

I just bought a new one a couple weeks ago. The package said to let it charge for 12-15 hours the first three times. Beyond that, take Knotty's advice. It is not good for Li-ion batteries to run down all the time. I just keep mine charged as much as possible.
