Facebook 4.0.0.13 does not work on Torch 9800

Hi all,

I've ugraded Facebook and get the new version from the store (That new version is : 4.0.0.13) and got some trouble.

here is the situation :

  • after downloading and installing, a pop-up is shown : "Javalang exception" with a sigle "OK" button.
  • No facebook icon is displayed
  • in "My Word" the facebook application is said to be installed.
  • even if the device is rebooted (alt/shift/del) : just after teh reboot compleet :
    • the same pop-up is shown ("Javalang exception")
    • no Facebook is running
    • no icon.

is there anyone experiancing the same trouble ?

Any fix ? Suggestion ? Solution ?

thanks for all !

salut LeTOF,

I have not installed this version.
I advise you to uninstall the app, then do a reboot, then install it again.

good luck.

Re: Facebook 4.0.0.13 does not work on Torch 9800

Hi :-)

Thanks for your answer.

I forget to mention that : I've already try to uninstall and re-install with the most "clean" process I could imagine ;-)

  • uninstall (the "uninstall" option of the 2 proposed : "uninstall" and "supress")
  • reboot
  • install -> error popup, no FB
  • reboot - error popup, no FB

another try

  • uninstall (the "Supress" option of the 2 proposed : "uninstall" and "supress")
  • reboot
  • install -> error popup, no FB
  • reboot - error popup, no FB

no clue :-(
