Facebook for BOLD

Can anyone help me with facebook? I downloaded facebook version 1.7 for my BB Bold. couldn't get it to work.. it won't recognize my email and password... it keeps on saying " connection error, service data missing unavailable" can someone enlighten me on this matter? what am i missing? i'm using wifi connection to access facebook.

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?

You must, in order to get  Facebook for BlackBerry to work.

So, call your carrier an inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.

thank you..thought it was as easy as download and it'll work automatically. blackberry is complicated. ~

Hi,

I have a data plan (Blackberry mail, unlimited internet etc - I assume that's what you need?) - but I have the same problem.  I can't access Facebook via Wi-Fi nor Orange World browser. I've downloaded the latest software on my Bold 9700 and latest version of facebook - but it still doesn't work.  I can connect via the internet but not via the Facebook app.

Any ideas?

Similar problem with me Smiley Sad ...My facebook app did work.. but since a week ago it not allowed me to login saying connection error or something......and when i try to download it again (after deleting the app) it says ...A communication failure has occurred. The server may be busy, please try again later ...
i have noo idea what to do Smiley Sad can anyone help please?? x
