Failed to associate with the network

I am trying to connect to my home wi fi and I keep getting the above message. I have tried multiple hard resets and also resetting my router but nothing has worked, please help?

Hey helenp0610,

 

Welcome to the forums. 

 

Trying doing the following to see if it corrects your issue.

 

1. Delete any saved WiFi profiles

2. Restore default WiFi settings, in saved WiFi Networks hit the Menu Key and choose Options then Reset Settings 
3. Reboot the BlackBerry by taking the battery out

4. Scan and setup connection again.

Thanks for the reply unfortunatly it hasn't worked. Any other ideas?

Had the same problem with my Torch 9800. Tried resetting, rebooting, battery pull etc. Did not work. Finally I changed my router/modem settings. They were: WPA2-PSK and AES key. I changed the latter, the AES, to AES+TKIP. That did the trick. Maybe something like that can help for you too.

my torch 9800 mobile is not connecting to my home network. message appearing FAILED TO ASSOCIATE WITH THE NETWORK. Can you please help me?

Hi, 

 

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 on Orange PAYGO, I have tried on 3 different routers to connect by wifi but come up with same message: "Failed to associate with the network".  

 

I have tried on WEP, WPA with/without security, and tried adding MAC address on Router.

 

I have contacted Orange technical team and after spending hours on the phone with 2 different people we are none the wiser. They advised that I did a wipe and if still not work then need to speak to the Blackberry team, can any one help?

Hi

 

I had a similar problem but I am now able to connect the other devices which i could not have connected earlier to the wireless network.

 

Choose any of these 3 network authentication options under wireless network settings.

Network authentication:WPA Personal/ WPA 2/ Mixed WPA2/WPA

WPA authentication:TKIP

 

Try connecting the devices to the wireless again.

I'm also having the same issue.  It just happened lately and now I can no longer connect to our office wifi. However, my BB can connect to other wifi. I tried doing the same troubleshooting steps as well. I reset the router and reboot my phone. Delete all saved wifi networks but nothing helped. I even reset my wifi settings. I keep having the same error message whenever I try to connect. I thought it's my BB but it's not coz even our SmartTV started to have the same prob. Help please. Thanks!

I also changed our router settings into WPA PERSONAL.. But it seemed that neither one resolve the issue.  :/ Will appreciate if you can provide me more troubleshooting steps. Thanks!
