Failure in connecting old iTech's Clip II Mini bluetooth headset to Bold 9900

Dear experts,

I hope you can help me.

I have just changed my BB from 8707v to Bold 9900.

I tried to pair my old iTech's Clip II mini (bought in the year 2008) to my Bold 9900 but failed. I tried the search and listen functions but to no avail. It used to pair perfectly with my 8707v.

What is the minimum Bluetooth specification needed for Bold 9900? Do I have to buy a new Bluetooth headset?

Thank you.
