Flashing Red Light (New Messages)--How long will it stay on??

I need some information on the flashing red light indicator that flashes when you receive new messages. I notice that it times out after awhile....not staying on even if i haven't checked my messages and indeed still have new messages.  Does anyone know the basics on this? I could not find anything in my manual. It would be good to know how this feature works.  For example, I may wake in the morning and have 21 new messages, but no blinking.  Does it stop blinking after a while to save battery life?? I have no clue. Thanks so much for all your help/advice.

I forgot to add that I have a Curve 8330. THanks.  Anyone know if there a way to get the flashing light to just stay on all the time??

Aimee, the LED notification light only stays on for about 15 minutes after the last new message.

If you want longer you will need BBAlerts, which is well worth it for the functionality it gives you in setting prolonged and customized notifications.
