Ok guys, heres whats happened. I decided to update my BlackBerry 8120 yesterday to the latest 4.5 software, however I noticed that the update software seemed to be doing nothing, and after 40 minutes of being sat on the same part of the update, I disconnected the phone and decided to restart the update. However, the phone seems reluctant to connect, and when it does, the update just hangs at the same part again - the loading JVM section.
I have downloaded and attempted to use JL_Cmder, however that seems unable to either connect to my phone or unable to wipe it for some reason.
I have also tried loading the loader with the command prompt of nojvm, however that doesnt work either.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to getting my phone fixed? I purchased it second hand, and it was fine until me being the **bleep**, tried to update it.

Do as advised above.
NEVER remove the device during an OS load. Never. Let it sit as long as it needs. I have seen one take over an hour.

right, thanks for the replys, however I have tried the above steps numerous times and the loader just seems to stop after the "load JVM and system software" section is complete - theres a tick next to that line of text, however 2 hours later nothing else has happened.
Please dont say the phones bricked, it was quite expensive.

also, contrary to whats stated on that link, my pearl does not display a white screen with an hour glass, instead the screen is completely black and I recieve 2 red LED flashes, then a pause, 2 LED flashes, a pause, and so on.
I have tried the solution close to 10 times now, however nothing seems to work.

There is nothing broken in your device.
There is a wrong piece of information written in device memory.
And the solution is to clean this memory.
Take your device to the service center to reset the device memory.
Ask your wireless provider support about address of Blackberry service center.

Your device is not broken, Kyle.
When the installation process terminated there was incomplete data written into device memory that is responsible to handle startup process/device operating system.
When your device turned on - it tries to execute this incomplete data and just hangs-on. Like there is launched an corrupted exe-file in windows.
Service center has the necessary equipment to reset your device memory chip and clean it from incomplete wrong data and you'll be able to install new fresh device OS and enjoy your device.

Yes, there will be a fee involved.
I think it won't cost too much, because it should be a simple operation to reset the device memory for them.
There is nothing to repair in your device, just reset the memory. Nothing more.
