Flickr Help on the new Tour

I love my new Tour and am an avid photographer. The camera on this phone is better than expected.

I use Flickr for my digital photography and was happy to upload the app to send pics from my Tour to my Flickr account.

While I have been able to connect to Flickr, not ONCE have I successfully sent a pic taken from my Tour to Flickr.

Is there something in the application permissions that may be hanging things up?

Something else???

Steve

Re: Flickr Help on the new Tour

Well, what error are you getting in using the Flickr app?

Also, if you look at your Flickr account, they will provide you with a unique email address for emailing the images to your account (side-stepping the Flickr app itself). Have you tried that?

Re: Flickr Help on the new Tour

Ok, and you've confirmed with Flickr that the app works on the Tour? I think it should...

Hey ... it downloads thru App World.

And I think it's being promoted as such.

Re: Flickr Help on the new Tour

True, if you can download it in AppWorld , it should work.

Try this: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

And try an upload again.

I don't know of any permission settings you should adjust. Did you allow the install to adjust the permissons on its own when it installed?

If not, delete the application and download/install it again, allow the install to change the settings as it needs.

Have you also tried the email upload as I mentioned? Its really simpler... I snap a picture > press the email link on the screen > enter the "F l i c k r" (since I have the email address entered in my Address Book as a contact) and send. Bam.
