Re: Forgot BB ID

Hello,

BB ID is, like so many things, a secure system...but it depends on the human to maintain security, and cannot automatically help you recover when the human component fails. But, from that limited detail, I cannot quite tell for sure your exact state, so here are some guesses for you to try...

  • KB28684 How to confirm a BlackBerry ID username
  • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password using the password recovery question
  • KB26361 How to change or reset a BlackBerry ID password

If all else fails, you may simply have to abandon your old BB ID (including all AppWorld records, BB Protect backup files, etc.) and start over:

  • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry smartphone

Good luck and let us know!
