Freeze: "Loading SIM phone book"

I just got a new Blackberry Bold 9900. When I wan't to Setup and Sync the contacts on my Sim Card, the phone freezes. It shows: "Loading SIM Phone Book"- but nothing happens. 

 

Anybody know what the problem is & how I can solve it?

The synchronisation process can take time depending upon the number of contacts in the sim phone book.

 

Pls pull out your battery, reboot and try again.

 

Also try cleaning the metal contacts of your sim using a soft cotton bud or cloth.
