"When we launched CrackBerry.com 10 years ago, we set out to make it a fun and useful destination where BlackBerry Smartphone owners could share their excitement and learn to unleash the full potential of their BlackBerry. A decade later, the CrackBerry community is as active and passionate as ever and I know our knowledgeable members and volunteers will be excited to welcome and assist more BlackBerry owners with their questions."

Welcome to the Community
Try rebooting the device by removing the battery while it's ON. Then let us know if this is still the coverage that you get. GSM is a coverage indicator that can only handle calls and SMS. Data service is off if it's on GSM.
You may also go to Options icon, select Mobile Network and switch the Network Mode to 3G. If you don't get the 3G indicator with a BB logo beside it, you can contact your carrier because it might be a network issue with them.
