GPS & Maps Issue

I have an 8900. When I open the maps application it tells me that a network error has occured. When I try to search for location it pops up a search for sattellites but never moves. My location in ON.

I am only using BB as Internet mail customer. Do you need to be an Enterprise user for maps and GPS to work?

I have tried downloading google maps application and that too doesn't work?

Any help out there?

Re: GPS & Maps Issue

Hi,

I tried refresh GPS and it searches for satellites and fails.

I downloaded google maps but cannot use it and then the Blackberry maps application when I tried to load it returns error "A network error was encountered. Check your server settings".

I am an Internet user not an enterprise user - my connection is GPRS. There is something fundamental wrong here since I cannot use anything to do with maps or GPS.

Re: GPS & Maps Issue

You need Blackberry data plan to run Blackberry Maps.

Call your carrier and ask for prices.
