I tried to install a game which I got from the lounge. I did as required. Downloaded it, unzipped it, the transfer to mobile via desktop manager but it comes up wityh a message that says no suitable data found. (or something like that)

Can someone please advise how to instal things correctly onto this phone. Its a BB8300.

Thanks

Re: Games

Just downloaded it and checked on Blackberry 8300.

The application works ok.

Try to uninstall the application via Options-Advanced Options-Applications (select application, open menu and hit "Delete")

Restart your device (turn it off and on).

And install the game again.

Re: Games

I tried using winrar instead of winzip and it managed to download the folder this time. IN the instructions is says to

C - Load up the BlackBerry Desktop Manager Software, and then the BlackBerry Application Loader software
D - Click NEXT
E - Select the USB port, and click NEXT

I dont get an option to select the port on option E. It justs lists programmes to delete.

Re: Games

Do the following:

  1. Unzip game archive
  2. Connect your device to the desktop computer
  3. Run Blackberry Desktop Manager and click on "Application loader"
  4. If you're using Blackberry Desktop Manager v.4.7  click on "Start" in "Add/Remove applications"
  5. Click on "Browse" button to select "*.alx" file of the game

If you're using older version of Blackberry Desktop Manager - run Application Loader, click next, next again, and click "Add" button at the top of the dialog box. And select alx file.

If you're using an old  version of BB Desktop Manager - you can get an error message like "No additional applications designed for your device were found".

In this case uninstall BB Desktop Manager and install the most recent version of this software.
