Google Apps - Not syncing Calendar and Contacts

I recently purchased a bold 9900. When setting up my work email which uses google apps it does not allow me the option to sync calendar or contacts.
Anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks for the question.

 

Google Calendar and Contacts is available for wireless synchronization.  Is your work email account hosted through Gmail or is it a Gmail address?  Can you also send me a private message with your PIN number so I can investigate further as well?

My work email account is hosted through gmail but not a gmail account. I will send you my pin privately.

unfortunately, Google Sync does not work any more on blackberry and the app is no longer supported by Google.

i had this on my 9900 as its a great way to keep all your contacts backed up in Google but now obsolete

Thanks for the reply nbedford34.

 

After checking the PIN number, your email account is added as just a basic IMAP account and not a Google IMAP account.  That is why you do not see the Calendar and Contacts option.  To resolve this issue you will need to contact Telus and ask to be transferred to BlackBerry as we will need to create a ticket to change the mail server.
