The difference in the arrows maybe model phone, operating system, or theme.
So don't worry about it.
The important this is to get the synch going!

The fact that we have the permissions right, that you have reinstalled the program, and that your BB is functioning normally would point to an issue with Google. You can try the forums link I gave you, or you can call them.
Sorry, I wish I could help more, but I don't think it;s Blackberry related. Maybe someone else on the board has a better answer than me...I hope so

Nobody on any board that i found had anything even close to the permissions. You're my only hope, Obi Wan.
I did change the premissions but had not reinstalled. now I have. I was able to log in (quickly). I saw the arrows and eveything. then a sync failed but I saw some data transfer arrows before it failed.

Three parts to the problem,
1 blackberry, don't think so
2 allocation on BB don't thin so
3 setup on Google needs settings checked
Can you log in via PC and make sure your options for wireless sync are correct and the general calendar options are right?
I can't get in I don't have an account. I cannot find anything else in the web,

We know there have been a lot of issues and confusion surrounding
Google Sync for your BlackBerry phone. We suggest, as a starting
point, to download the latest version of Sync (version 0.4.4). This
version contains fixes to some of the most common user issues.
To download Sync, visit m.google.com/sync from your BlackBerry phone.
Once you have downloaded this most recent version, and if you are
still having problems, let us know in this thread.

Well this continues to frustrate and confound.
I reviewed my permissions under options, advanced, applications, google sync. I noticed there are two different "allow" options. One is bold. The other isn't. I switched all to bold. No idea if that had any effect.
Checked my version of google sync. It's 4.6. Uninstalled, reset BB. checked for update. Device said that 4.4 would be installed, installed it and it says that 4.6 has now been installed.
Checked BB firewall. reset that too
Rechecked options to make sure the bold "Allow" was still there. It was and is. Login in. Data indicating arrows flashed nice and strong.
Started sync. a few meager data indicaing arrows. mostly indicating incoming. then snyc failed. hit sync now again. no data indicating arrows.
AND THEN KERPOW! BaZInG! Updated. Calendars available. Checked 'em off and pulled the meetings from my groups.
It only pulled in some appointments from the BB, then I went and resaved a bunch of future events. That didn't get them to the Google Calendar. Tried editing one and resyncing (takes a long time to connect to Google despite registering as a full 5 bar strong cellular signal). Still no synch from BB to GCal.
Deleted one, added a new event as a test. Refreshed Gcal. That one synced, so ike I've read on other boards, only events entered after sync is active get synced.
I'm ok with that.
The BB seems to hang when the Sync program is running. I switched from automatic to manual sync.
I hope it keeps working.
