I have downloaded that version through Deposit files (Autoloader.Z10.STL-1.OS10.2.0.1803). Will try it on a different PC as suggested. Btw, I have been using the autoloaders with a PC. I even tried the Blackberry Link on the PC ...after it was failing on my Mac...but i ran into same problem as with Mac.

You may need even a different PC, or at least a different USB port on the PC.

And, a different USB cable if you can find one. Is this the one that came with the Z10?

Yes, it is the one that came with the Z10, will try another cable as suggested too....

Hi J Sanders,

 

I just had this problem today and i tried reloading my device using bb link. After the device reloaded the software, it gives a message "updated successfully, you may remove the device" .  I removed my device and once i turned it on it is stuck on screen shot which shows mobile is connected to computer. And it is pretty much stuck there from the past 4-5 hours.

I have tried reloading 5-6 times, deleted my bb link and then reloaded again to no avail. I bought this phone from Dubai, United Arab Emirates and i live in Auckland, New Zealand. I get work emails through out the day, Any suggestion how i can get my phone up n running. I have one of the first models of Z10 which i presume is STL 100-1.

 

Your help would be highly appreciated

What exact model # is your Z10? Look at your Settings > About.

Then use the directions posted above to install the OS via an autoloader file.

Hi J Sanders,

 

As the phone is stuck on the screetshot "mobile connected to computer". I cannot go to settings and check it, as i can recall from memory it is STL-100 as it was one of the first phones of z10. I will download the OS file and try to use autoloader. Its been a slightly frustrating night for me, as it keeps saying on BB link the software update was successful but nothing happens on the phone. It seems to be stuck on the same screenshot.  Thanks for the reply., i will update you if the autoloader works.

Try this, before you do anything else...

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
