Re: HELP .......BB ERROR 0015 REPAIR

Personally, I think it's a bad battery or perhaps an uncharged battery , or the device OS does not see the battery as charged.

Another thing it could be is ... these device have a separate onboard non-removable battery which basically provides juice the flash memory on the device when the full battery is removed. That battery could be dead. Hopefully some heavy charging can revive it.

Keep trying the charge and battery insertion OR charge and remaining connected to the charger while pressing the Up and Down volume keys for 30 seconds to reboot.

A third thing... I've seen two users here mention this worked for them, but also, leaving it connected to the wall outlet charger, press AND hold three buttons 1, top edge power button, 2, Up volume, and 3, down volume.

I know, that will take some finger acrobatics to perform, but like I said, worth a try.

Re: HELP .......BB ERROR 0015 REPAIR

Just tried holding vol +, vol - reset mode but no response from the phone. I did read about the three button press and my last evening was spent holding my blackberry Z10 awkwardly with no luck. I'm gonna drop off the phone to a tech store today, let them have a crack at it. Otherwise these Z10 are quite cheap nowadays, i bought the phone early last year for almost $900 NZ dollars from Dubai and i just had a look at a mobile stop website and they r selling'em for $350 NZ dollars which is like $300 US. I might get a new one this weekend, do you reckon is it worth buying Z10 or should i go for Z30. it does cost substantially more than Z10 about $730 NZ.

Thanks,

Emad

Re: HELP .......BB ERROR 0015 REPAIR

Ok, I think it's time, as well, to seek official service on this. Good luck.

I'm using the Z30 and love it. It's a bit larger in the hand, the sound is absolutely exquisite and the extra screen space is nice.

Re: HELP .......BB ERROR 0015 REPAIR

Is their any way i can contact Rim? As i tried everything under the sun and nothing worked, so i took it to a blackberry repair specialist here in South Africa, and was told the Z10 has an electircal fault on the board - meaning it cannot be repaired, as the cost for the entire board exceeds value of the phone. Since i bought the phone whilst in the Middle East 5 months ago, the handset cannot be replaced here in SA. I tried contacting the place in Dubai from where i bought the phone online, but am getting no response from them.

I cannot understand how a phone which i hardly ever used just died on me - showing the dreaded 0015 error - probably just one of those things.

Not sure what to do now with a dead phone, any advice you have would be appreciated.

Re: HELP .......BB ERROR 0015 REPAIR

Hi Sanders,

Just got new from the technician, apparently PCB board is not working and the replacement cost is $300. I'm sending my phone over to my brother in Dubai. He is going to get a replacement which can take upto 21 working days. Moral of the story: dont buy electronic devices overseas without checking for international warranty. Anyways i'm ordering another Z10, as i cant afford not have a smartphone because of work.

Thanks for all the help.

Cheers,

Emad

Re: HELP .......BB ERROR 0015 REPAIR

Hi Sanders,

I have got my new Z10, and it feels good to be back on smartphone grid. Quick question, it is using software release 10.2.0.424 and the battery output is terrible. Battery runs out in 8 to 10 hours without any intensive workout, barely few phone calls and emails. By the time i get home, after 10- 11 hours, the battery goes flat. Any suggestions to increase battery output?

Cheers,

Emad

Re: HELP .......BB ERROR 0015 REPAIR

10-11 hours would be about right for the Z10, in my opinion.

I would encourage you to upgrade to the leaked 10.2.1.1925 OS.
