HELP: BB PEARL 8100 TRACK BALL

hi

 

here is my problem my pearl version was 4.2 before and runs smoothly and then after i updated to 4.5 version something wrong with the track ball suddenly it does not runs smoothly anymore always stop when i scroll then i reinstall the software again and perform battery pull restart  its the same.. did i brick my pearl?

Anyone knows how to fix it? or dowgrade to 4.2 version?

 

PLEASE HELP..

Sorry to hear you're having an issue with your trackball.

 

Can you elaborate on the lack of smooth movement? Did you check the settings for sensitivity? Does the physical ball feel sticky or jump?

i mean the trackball only scrolls up and down.. no right and left..and there is no probelm with th sensitivity..

In the past with earlier Blackberry phones I've had problems with the trackball. The fix was to get it changed. The older trackball models were easy to change the trackball. The newer ones had to be changed by a technician, because the phone had to be taken apart.

 

I would think it would be a good decision to get a more up to date phone. There were many improvements in performance.

Please see KB14168 related to the issue you're experiencing with your trackball failing to roll in a particular direction.
