Re: HOW TO OPEN A BBB FILE ?

yesItems, I gave tried all the methods listed. Blackberry backup only downloads windows files eleven when I click on the Mac option. The other one with the spreadsheets does download. I then copied the file name in the slot provided with no luck.

Hi there,
Still nothing. I received a message saying that Amrak cannot be opened as Microsoft applications cannot be opened using OS X. I'm at a loss...

I don't believe there is an option for Macs. You may just need to find a Windows based PC for this.

If you want to thank someone for their comment, do so by clicking the Thumbs Up icon.

If your issue is resolved, don't forget to click the Solution button on the resolution!

Sure there is...  I posted above.

3. Another IPD and BBB file utility is BlackBerry Backup Extractor, and is available for PC and Mac, and can be found here: http://www.blackberryconverter.com/ There is a free and paid version.

Re: HOW TO OPEN A BBB FILE ?

Hi MissBr,

I'm Livia, I'm with the BlackBerry Backup Extractor project, sorry to hear you didn't manage to use our software on your Mac. The app not a native Mac installer, and this is why the download is an .exe file. You can still run the program on OSX but you need to install Mono and X11 Libraries, here's a link to our help and support page.

Once understood the install is an easy process and the BlackBerry Backup Extractor will recover your notes from the .bbb file. If you run into any trouble installing the app with Mono, you should reach our team of customer support superstars, they will surely help! Contact us if you have any questions (support@reincubate.com) Smiley Happy
