Help JVM ERROR 545 on Torch 9800

I accidentally disconnected my phone when it was updating with blackberry desktop and now when I try to reset it, it just shows a white page with the words JVM Error 545 Restart. I can't connect it to Blackberry desktop. I tried to find a solution on google but it seems there are alot of solutions that involve completely resetting the phone and then re installing the OS.

Does anyone know a way to fix the problem without having to wipe all of the data clean? Thank you.

Re: Help JVM ERROR 545 on Torch 9800

Nope...you made the mistake of stopping the operation before it had completed, and now your BB is in a state that it cannot operate in. And that process can't really be picked up from where it left off...rather, it has to start over, but now from the point of there being nothing useful on the BB anymore. So you need to follow those solutions and reload your OS, but you can no longer depend on anything that was on the BB itself as being available to you.

If, during the initial configuration steps, you did not defeat the offer it made to take a backup to the PC, then that backup file should still be on your PC, available for you to use as the source of restore after you get your BB running again. Of course, if you defeated that backup offer, then there is no source from which to restore.

Good luck!
