Help! My browser is gone...

Hi all - I am brand new user to both the blackberry and to online forums (luv this much better than the treo though).  I tried to install opera mini which didn't work, so after I removed it through the blackberry desktop software application loader my browser icon was missing.  I've done a "show all" and it still doesn't show up in my icons.  I've searched the blackberry options and the online support docs but can't find it or instructions on how to either locate it or reinstall it.  Can someone help?  Thanks!

What application name did you erase from the app list, and did you erase anything on the BB manually?

Try going to Options > Advanced options >  Host Routing Table > press the menu button and select register now.

 

This pushes out icons from the carrier...

 

Otherwise log into your BIS site or call u carrier to 'Resend the Service' books.

After you get that all sorted out, what was the problem you had with Opera? Maybe we can get that to work for you too.

Thanks for the responses everyone.  I erased operamini however as it turns out this am I couldn't make any outgoing calls and after spending an hour on the phone with my cell service they determined I need a new bb.  So, wish me luck!

Thanks.  Maybe once I have the new bb (see my other response) I will try again.  The problem I  had with opera mini was that I couldn't find the accept button once the software was downloaded (which after research I now know you have to push the menu button to find it - its not at the bottom of the agreement where one would expect it).  Then when I tried to get on again to accept properly the screen said that it couldn't connect to the internet so I elected to remove the software and start over and that is when these problems started.
