I'm not sure how to connect my school email to my blackberry Torch. My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. It does provide instructions on how to link to the Blackberry but it doens't work for the Torch because the option doesn't exist.
To set up the BlackBerry's email client with Google Apps email (IMAP), just follow these steps:
Anybody have any clue how to set up this email to my blackberry. I can't find where I can put the mail server or IMAP Port or anything in. Thank you!

it's not really done on the phone. when you click the email setup, it takes you to the browser where you have to logon to your blackberry bis account. then from there, you will see the options you are referring to.

Alright, this is killing me. I also have a .edu address that is power by gmail but has a school address. I tried originally the basic email set-up. This didn't work. Then I tried the BES, but this was no good. I did get sent emails saying that I should keep my emails on the server. I went into my school settings and asked the emails to be kept in my inbox.
Then I got sent that I successfully loaded my Blackberry ID. Then I got sent this (of which this is an extract...):
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.

Hi swr22 can you tell me how you did the inital part? I still can't get that to work. The BES part you were talking about and getting things kept on the server or w/e. I still haven't gotten anything to work. If you can simpler instructions help I'm not too good with this stuff. Thank you!!

I've got to try to remember what I did! And even after what I did, it is still not working, so hopefully someone else will chime in. I think that I filled in the enterprise account within the setup option and then got a Blackberry ID, which I didn't have already. This sent the thing to my email address but so far my phone has received no emails that have been sent to my inbox. No idea why not.
