Help please "No playlist exists in your itunes library"???????

Media Sync automatically updated yestersay when I went to use it and since then it displays the message "No playlist exists in your itunes library". Its killing me becuase I want to out all this new music on. I've just had an automatic update from itunes in the last week too. Can anyone suggest a fix please?

 

If anyone can help I would be most appreciative but be mindful i am pretty dumb when it comes to all this stuff.

I think the solution is going to be to chuck it out and get an iPhone!!!!
