Help with Curve 9380 please - Keeps rebooting and Uncaught exception error.

Hi All

 

If anyone can please help me, my Curve 9380 keeps randomly rebooting and with the last reboot it gave a " Uncaught Exception: Index 1190 >= 1190" popup.

 

What can I do to fix this?

   It might be happening because of any Installed application on your device. Have you recently Installed any Application ? If you have then try to boot your device on Safe Mode , On that mode delete or Uninstall any recently installed app which you think might be responsible .

Hi thanks!

 

Nope no new apps installed. this has been happening since saterday night (2nights ago) . and im sure that i did not install anything new in a while. .

 

What else might it be?

Sorry but you have to recall carefully if you have installed any app or installed any new theme or wallpaper. If you still can't recall then first do a backup or if you already have a backup of your device then perform a Clean OS reload .For further help refer to this KB :

hey

 

i have the exact same problem on the 9380

 

no new apps installed

left it off for a day

uninstalled all of my apps (some ive even paid for)

 

still the phone keeps rebooting every 10 minutes???

 

im a sales consultant at vodacom and ive actually booked this phone in for repairs for the 3rd time now, but still everytime im getting the phone back. it restarts

 

 

i really dont want this phone anymore

its quite frustating to not have a phone when you need to make/recieve a urgent call

 

 

also i did do a software update on the phone its now running on OS 7.1

 

 

ive wiped recently also

but nothing nothing seems to help

 

 

ive had the phone about a year now, at first i was very pleased with the phone but now i cant stand another day with it

please assist me because im paying a hell of a lot of money for this phone every month and tgat for a phone thats not working?

 

what will you suggest?

I have noticed you already done a lot of things ! It can be a hardware issue .If your device is still under warranty I suggest Contact your Carrier Vodacom and ask for replacement .
