Help

Hi

I plead ignorance, I have a 9300 that I have now replaced with a 9380. I want to know if it is possible to transfer my bbm contacts from the 9300 to the 9380 - confused

Re: Help

Yes, if you had BBM v6 on the old device, did you ever do a BBM contact backup to your SD Media card?

If on the old device, did you ever recently upgrade to the new BBM 7 with Voice? If so, your contacts are backed up via your BlackBerryID login and will repopulate after you login the SAME BlackBerryID on the new device.

Re: Help

Hi, BB version 6 on old device, backed up to computer and my bbm was 7.0.0.126. I transferred my data using bb desktop from my old to my 9380 but my bbm contacts do not appear. I still have my 9300 as well

Re: Help

OK, if you had BBM7 on your old device, it would have synced your BBM contacts to your BlackBerryID.

On your new device, once you've logged in, set up service and installed BBM7 on the new device and you again login to your BlackBerryID, it should restore your contacts...
