In March I purchased a new Blackberry Bold 9700 SIM Free smart phone..
I purchased it through a seller on Amazon.
Phone arrived and all was fine until three weeks ago when the rolly ball stopped working and then in addition you can only now hear what the caller is saying if the phone is on speaker.
Big Problem is that I bought this as a present for someone - and she is now not able to use it!
I contacted the vendor who says they only offer a 3 month warranty and Amazon are saying they cannot get involved. I thought that all Blackberry phones came with a 12 month warranty...!!
Does anyone know how I can get this sorted under warranty..
She has brought it to a local phone shop who have quoted circa £150 to repair it..

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums
If you brought it from eBay or Amazon you are limited to the warranty terms and condition set by themselves,in other words no warranty if brought from any Unauthorized places or merchandiser, If possible contact him again and ask for refund or replacement.
Because the problem you are having with the device seems to be hardware related and if they don't provide then I think its better to contact any repair shop to fix the problem.
