Host Routing Table Empty

i have a blackberry bold 9700. the problem am having is that it cant register on the host routing table. whenever i click 'register now', it says message sent, but i never get a reply. i am on airtel zambia and the device shows a vodafone screen when starting up. the phone is unlocked though, and am able to make calls and recieve texts on MTN zambia. the phone came with an old version of opera mini and am able to browse through opera mini, but am charged PAYGo. My signal always shows '3G' and sometimes 'EDGE'. when i subscribe for BIS on my carrier, i get charged and they confirm that am registered but none of the apps are able to access the web. i have contacted my carrier several times, and they said my device could have been reported as stolen and then blacklisted yet it performs every other function. sometimes am able to access app world and i once downloaded a new version of opera mini. please help!

That sounds very plausible. Could be right because AppWorld can work over WiFi only, and Opera Mini can work over WiFi only.

Being able to make calls and send/receive SMS would be possible on a blacklisted device.

Re: Host Routing Table Empty

but i acess both opera mini and app world through wap, and not WiFi, so could it still be a blacklisted device?

Re: Host Routing Table Empty

Yep.

Or the new carrier has simply not entered the device IMEI into its own database.

Re: Host Routing Table Empty

Try this below, in two different manners, 1) while connected to a WiFi router, and 2) while only connected to your mobile network (no WiFi).

On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?

Re: Host Routing Table Empty

Yes, advice: Airtel needs to escalate this issue to RIM level tech support.

Ask them to do so.
