Hi, I have been reading your post and wondered if you could help me with an error when loading the Desk Manager? I posted details earlier Error message 1723 ...' A DLL required for the install complete could not run... '

Do you have any ideas as to what I need to do?

Thank you!

Hello,

I don't find anything on point in the public KBs. Therefore, I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

Good luck!

Re: How To Backup Your BlackBerry

  • Connect your BlackBerry smartphone to your Mac computer.
In the Applications folder of the Mac computer, click BlackBerry Desktop Software. Note: There is no charge for this software if you need to download and install it.
Click the Back Up icon at the top of the screen.
Perform one of the following actions:
To back up all data on the BlackBerry smartphone, click All data
To back up specific data, click Selected data and select the check box beside one or more databases
If necessary, perform the following actions:
Note: To perform this task on your BlackBerry smartphone, mass storage mode must be turned on.
To encrypt the data on the BlackBerry smartphone, select the Encrypt backup file check box
To back up on-board device memory, select the Back up built-in media storage check box
    Click Back Up.
