How do I uninstall 4.3 from Vista

I loaded it wrong and need to make sure everything is removed so I can reinstall it.  I have only been able to find 4.0 for XP which removed some items.  Just want to make sure I am not missing anything.  (for example, could not find Pumatech to remove)

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bearsfan62,

(da bears da best)

Ok, back to work.

Clean the desktop with this procedure after you uninstall the current DM

What version are you going to, and have you installed with admin writes in vista?

Let me know, thanks

Re: How do I uninstall 4.3 from Vista

I hit Enterpirse server originally.  Big mistake.  I reloaded it once and really no porblems except for all of the network messages.  So I want to be rid of them once and for all.

Too bad the Titans undefeated season is going to end in two weeks.  I kinda like them.

Ok 4.3 it is. Just run the clean procedure, cold boot the machine.

turn off all virus checkers and firewalls, and reinstall 4.3. Make sure you have admin rights

You should be good to go!!

Re: How do I uninstall 4.3 from Vista

Guess I did something wrong.  I did all of the uninstall perfectly.  I'm thinking I didn't install as admin properly.  Any links to do that correctly.  I found several that say to do it as administrater but they assume I already know how to become that.

Re: How do I uninstall 4.3 from Vista

(must be a northsider)

Did I type that out loud?   Smiley Wink

1. Right-Click on Command Prompt in Start Menu and choose Run as Administrator
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Research in Motion\Blackberry\IS71 Connectors\MS Outlook Connector by typing: c:\> CD program      files\research in motion\blackberry\is71 connectors\ms outlook connector

3. Then type in the command prompt, type: regsvr32 MsOutlookConnector.fil

4. If the registration is successful, the following message displays:
DllRegisterSErver in msoutlookconnector.fil succeeded.
5. Close and open Blackberry Desktop Manager to perform the synchronization process again and Outlook will be in the list...

If you receive the error message DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005 - you do not have admin rights. So, it's important that you run command prompt as admin.

Re: How do I uninstall 4.3 from Vista

The module "MsOutlookConnector.fil" failed to load.

Make sure the binary is stored at the specitfied path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent.DLL files.

The specified module could not be found.

What about the service books on the BB, delete those too as I have read from some?

Re: How do I uninstall 4.3 from Vista

No that isn't going to help right now.

Open the desktop manager, plug in the BB, and go through the configuration setup wizard, see if outlook is an option

to choose from. I have to look up why the command failed.

Don't sync yet, you just need the bb hooked up to get to the sync wizard.

OK?
