How do I use the 8330 Curve as a USB Modem on my lapttop

I have to use my in home wireless now, but on the road or emegencies, or away I would like to connect; the Sprint Store said Dude a like you plug it in man, that was the level of service  got at Sprint. anyways Can someone please walk me throug this.

Sorry id did not work #777 gets me a number that has been disconnected ? I put in my username and password from Sprint; there must be more to this, what am I missing ? DM 4.6 is insatlled nd I am runng Vista
