How do you reset my Torch back to like new software load?

I have a 9800 Torch on AT&T, I traded my Curve for a the Torch.

A few of the apps were deleted ( well they still show up in the Application Management) but are nowhere to be found!

 

so is there a way to reinstall the Software? ( like I would do on a computer when someone has deleted the wrong stuff!)

 

I tried to update the version (which is at 6.0 bundle 695) which took a real long time and did not help.

The process you're referring to on a PC is restoring the PC to a restore point.  No such feature exists on the phone itself.  The equivalent is to use the Desktop Manager.

 

Do you have your data backed up via Desktop Manager?
