Re: How to SYNC BB CONTACTS WITH GMAIL?

This does not work.  I have repeatedly gone over these steps.

Interestingly, any of the contacts I enter on my blackberry shows up on google contacts, but not the other way around (i.e. any contacts on my google contacts does not show on my bb)!

I am using:

Blackberry: 9810

version 7.0.0 bundle 2404

Any help would be appreciated, this is really an annoyance, as I am trying to sync things up.

No, I want to avoid outlook.  Is this essential to have on my PC?  I am using eMClient.

No but not a bad way of saving contacts. You could download blackberry protect. Do a back up of your contacts on there. Load protect onto new device and then restore. With outlook you have synced contacts to outlook and then when you put the new phone on you could sync them back onto the device.

Re: How to SYNC BB CONTACTS WITH GMAIL?

I understand. From some of the posts here, looks like the issue is not in eMClient vs Outlook, but in the BB sync software. Or google contacts. My calendar and emails work perfectly, so I am puzzled as to why contacts does not.

The strangest thing is that the entries I type into my BB appears on my eMClient contact, but not vice versa!! Which is a pain since I am trying to restore from a large CSV file, and rather have that imported into eMClient than have to manually type everything in!
