How to add/delete languages

Hi guys, am new to BB. Just got my 9780 days ago and am still enjoying it. Noticed that I've several languages loaded into the phone; Arabic, Korean etc. If I wanted to delete some of these, as well as load new ones, how do I do it? Thanks.

Re: How to add/delete languages

Open your Desktop Software with the BlackBerry connected and click on the Applications icon.

You will see the languages available to you, uncheck to delete from your device, check those you want to add.

According the operating system release you have installed on your device not all languages may be available to you.

Re: How to add/delete languages

Thanks for a quick reply Sanders. I tried to do that earlier, but my DM does not seem to show the languages available. Pls the print screen.

Re: How to add/delete languages

ok.

You need to install the operating system which is on your BlackBerry device to your PC.

What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.6.0.x.xxx", What is yours?

Now, find that OS file at your carrier download site:

http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.

1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

You should be presented with a list of languages.
