How to disable direct connections and force all traffic through BIS

i will be traveling to another country with my blackberry. I am planning to purchase a local pre-paid sim card to save on  roaming charges. They offer an unlimited BIS option on the pre-paid plan as long as the device is using blackbery.net APN, but as soon as device tries to connect using direct connection the money is drained from the card balance at a faster than lightspeed rate.

My question is how I can configure my blackberry (OS 7.1.x) to never attempt direct connection but only allow to connect via BIS using blackberry.net APN and via WIFI if needed.

Is such setup possible at all? Appreciate your advice!!

Change the TCP IP settings of your phone. Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > TCP IP. You can disable or erase all info in all the fields.
