How to force reconcile email back onto server (on BB but MIA on server)

Model/Carrier/OS: 9650 / Sprint / v5.0.0.983


So my individual email account on our web server recently got messed up. All emails up to a certain date (let's say Sept 2012) were wiped out. 


I think my Blackberry is my best hope -- my backups are spotty, there's no copies of my emails on the server, nor on any device (all my devices are IMAP'ed to the web server).


My blackberry has a copy of all my emails, but I don't know how to copy them back onto the server. Is there any way I can reconcile it up through IMAP? Or can I export it to Outlook, and then force it THERE back onto the server?


NOTE: Nubs often lose their emails when they hook up their emails via POP and forget to uncheck "leave on server". I do not believe this applies in this case.

Hi and Welcome to the Community...and apologies for the delayed reply!

I think that your best bet would actually be to take a backup, to your PC, of your BB. Then, using one of the free backup file parsing apps, extract the records you desire. Then, format those for Outlook and see if you can indeed get them imported to Outlook. If so, then Outlook and IMAP should take care of reconciling them back to the server.

Note that I've never tried to do what you are asking for...I really am not 100% positive about the step of importing email records into Outlook (the other steps are all logical and functional, as far as I understand).

Reconciling directly from the BB to Outlook (via the Desktop Software) really should not work for this...with email, you choose only one path for reconciliation, and that is typically OTA between the BB and the server, so it just won't even try to reconcile your BB email data with Outlook.
