To wipe the device go into Options | Security Options | General Settings. Hit your menu key, and select Wipe Handheld.

 

Just note that doing so will erase all your data from the device. So if you want a backup, you can install the Desktop Software and use the Backup and Restore utility to backup all your data first, then perform the wipe.
