How to switch from Enterprise

Hi  I was allowed to keep my Blackberry when I left the company. But all the setting are Enterprise. How can I delete them. Or refresh the phone with a new system software, so that I can get my google mail etc on the phone.

Thanks for helping

Re: How to switch from Enterprise

To earse all the previous setting you need to wipe the device by following the below steps -

1.     Options

2.     Security Options

3.      General Settings

4.      click Menu and select Wipe Handheld

5.      type in 'blackberry'

This will erase all the device data that is stored in the device. You can also erase all 3rd party applications by checking the option.

Now to have gmail or other personal emails you need to subscribe for BlackBerry data plan from your carrier.

Re: How to switch from Enterprise

I have a 7290 that I have not used in a couple of years.  it was setup on the bank enterprise server.  I gave it to my mom last month when her's died.  We got it to work for her but cannot stop it from demanding a new password every month.  How can we get rid of that?

Thank you so much!

It is likely that the IT Policy remains on the BB, latent from when it was on BES. The best way to remove it is via this procedure:
