How to unsubscribe to email on my 8900

Good evening  :-)

 

It costs me £5 a month to have emails sent to my phone - please can someone help me with how I do this.

If you're receiving emails on your phone, then you must have added the email account. In order to not receive further emails, simply delete the account in question. 

To do this, click Setup on your homescreen then click Email Accounts. From there, you should be able to highlight the account in question and delete it.

I have tried this but the phone will not connect to my email settings.

It says - if you want to access your email settings ..........., log in

My user name is there and my password but when I try to log in it tells me the information is incorrect - when I hit 'forgot password' I just got a message through telling me my password is:-                                                 - there was nothing there!

 

It is driving me scatty!

I have been trying again today but still having the same problem.

Hoping to cancel these emails before I get charged again - can I do it through my laptop?

Actually, I recommend that you contact Orange. I suspect that the fee you see is related not just to email, but to all of your BIS-related BB proprietary services (BBM, email, etc.). Hence, even if you remove the integrated email account, I suspect that you will continue to get charged for the service. You need to talk to Orange and decide what data plan from them you need in order to have only the services you desire...they control that, so talk to them.
