I can't find the "General Options" option on the "Options" menu

Help! I'd really like to start personalizing my phone but like the subject line reads, I can't find the "General Options" option on the "Options" menu!

 

Please help me!

There is no 'General Option' menu under Options!!! However, you can get one General Settings available under Options -> Security Options -> General Settings. For personalizing You go there too change the BES/BIS Message Outline Color. Other then that you need to hit Options -> Screen/Keyboard.

The reason why I was looking for it is because it was in my maual, so I thought it'd be there.. I looked under General Settings and tried to find the Message Outline Color option but it wasn't there. What's BES/BIS? 

 

I just want to be able to change colors.. (besides the theme option)

Hi and welcome to the forums!

 

You are setup as BIS (personal use phone).

BES (corporate server based) is the setup that is referenced in the manual:


Use color to differentiate work messages from other messages

Verify that your BlackBerry® device is associated with an email account that uses a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server.


So that option is not available to you.
