I cannot access my phones memory and see pictures I took or music.

I took pictures and then when connecting it to my computer I encrypted my device with bit-locker is this the reason?

When conecting my phone to my computer the files (images) are visible via the computer when connecting as a USB but when I try and see them on my phone it doen't show any images.
