I deleted an App then my contact list disappear

I have a BB Bold 9700. I downloaded an App (what's App) after that my phone became very slow, so l deleted both (what's App) and (Twitter) from my phone. Then my whole contact suddenly disappeared, I tried to shut it down and remove the battery for a while and turn it on again but it still there my contact list is empty. Please help me what should I do ?

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior ceases and your contacts re-appear, then immediately proceed to taking a backup (you can find a link in my auto-sig on this post). Afterwards, you may also need to remove more 3rd party or add-on apps...one of them is the culprit (Safe Mode prevents all 3rd party and add-on apps from auto-launching).

But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then all may well be lost. You might try the backup anyway and see if it finds any contact records at all. You also should dig very deeply to be sure you are displaying the proper contact list on your BB (inside of the Contact app, press the Menu key and investigate the various options there).


If indeed there are no contacts on your BB at all, then for reasons unknown (and likely unknowable), they were somehow deleted...and there is no on-device recovery possible. Rather, you must revert to your backup -- if you used BB Protect, you can restore from there. If you used the Desktop Software to take a backup to your computer, then you can restore from there. But if you did no backups at all, then there is no source from which to restore.
