I dropped my phone down the toilet..

My phone fell into the toilet and was obviously soaked. I immediately took it all apart and dried it with tissues, and when I turned it back on everything was working fine, but after about ten minutes the cursor/touch pad stopped working. I've taken it all apart again, dried it, and put the phone in a bag of dry rice and am going to leave it for a couple of days.
If by then the cursor/touch pad still doesn't work is there anyway that I can fix it? Or will I have to get a new phone?

That was likely your fatal error. By not truly being 100% dry, applying electrical power to the device has likely fried some things. The better approach was this:

But it may be too late for you. Then again, everything may be fine if you now follow that FAQ. The only thing predictable about water intrusion to a BB is that the results will be unpredictable.

Repair options are totally localized. You definitely won't be able to get any help via your warranty...that is now 100% voided. But your mobile network provider may be able to point you to some reputable repair shops in your area.

Good luck!
