I forgot question

Been so long just using my 8530 I forgot this one stupid simple part. I purchased a new 9310 Curve, has 3-7 OS on it. Do I activate first than update OS or update to 7.1 OS first than activate?

Thank You.

Re: I forgot question

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

You should activate first...many of the later OS levels require subscription to an adequate BIS data plan in order to receive the update.

Good Luck!

Re: I forgot question

Enjoy? After 4 Androids I'm back for data salvation and control over my phone not some Corp's idea of how I should use my phone, putting updates to apps I never use. I have a new BB Pearl Flip in storage but really like the bar style and key board of the standard BB better. I know the 9310 is a lowly Blackberry of the line of outstanding Blackberries. For me it works! Been a while, I'm back! Yes, I'll enjoy!
