Please help! This is my third post about these problems!
I have not changed any settings (as far as I know) but my desktop and phone can no longer sync. It hangs up at "Getting Status info from Outlook Calendar." If I hit cancel it says "Canceling", but never cancels. I have to shut the computer down to get out of that cycle.
I tried uninstalling BB software and am unable to do it. I know how to uninstall but the computer will not let me. When I click Uninstall/Change after highlighting Blackberry Desktop Software 7.0 I get the following message:
"This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid Windows Installer package." I have tried contacting BB and they told me to go to this forum. That is apparently their ieda of customer service.
Being unable to sync my BB and desktop makes the BB virtually useless to me. I am about to dump BB and get an iPhone. Help, please!

What version of Outlook are you using?
Sounds like the applications are having issues on the computer. I think Outlook is the problem though. Are you able to download and reinstall the desktop manager on top of itself (to repair missing registry entries, etc)
What email service are you using?

This is for version 6.

As you stated this version is older than the version on my computer (v.6 vs. v.7) and thus the computer will not install it. Do you have a solution to the most recent version of your BB problem?

The solution you suggested is for an older version than the version on my computer (v.6 vs. v.7) and thus the computer will not install it. Do you have a suggestion/solution to BB v.7?

If you are having trouble uninstalling programs, I think there are some other issues on the computer that needs to be resolved first. Outlook could be having problems too. Is there a way to test this on another known working computer with the desktop manager and Outlook? That will help narrow down what the root problem is.
