I recently purchased MyWeather Mobile 2.0 for my new Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8330 (which IS listed as a supported phone), and was upset to find that, despite the product description listing "GPS-enabled MyWeather location" as a new feature, I could not find anywhere in the application the ability to use my current GPS location. I know my phone & carrier support GPS location, since I already use Sprint Navigation, AllSport GPS, GPSed, and a few other GPS tracking applications which successfully use very accurate GPS position information (although GoogleMaps for some reason only uses cell triangulation - not very accurate - but I can still successfully use my BlueTooth GPS even with that). Please help so I can make use of this feature. I'm an airline pilot who likes the ability to pull up current radar at the airports and hotels I'm at, which is why I bought this app. Thanks!

Hi there!

Your inquiry actually needs to be directed to the developer of the application. AppWorld is a portal, vending applications developed by others. It falls to those developers to support the apps that they sell through AppWorld.

you have to check with your carrier if they allow MyWeather Mobile 2.0 to use the GPS of your device. They refuse Google Maps to use it for instance.

Hello there!

A friend of mine had an issue with their Blackberry Curve that couldn't get his MyWeather GPS feature to work either.  He e-mailed MyWeather customer support and here is the response he got:

The MyWeather GPS feature is available on the BlackBerry Bold and the Curve 8350i, but not on the other BlackBerry Curve models with our current version.  Because of GPS being available on the Bold and the Curve 8350i, we included GPS availability on our product description.  We apologize for the confusion.  However, we will be including GPS for the other Curve models in a future version.

I hope this helps clear up the issue for you!
